To achieve the the
greatest degree of realism, many modeling projects desire lighting effects
that go well beyond simple static lighting. Many require effects that are quite dynamic, producing animated behavior to mimic
a wide variety of devices. Below are our products
specifically designed for LEDs that we've developed
to support a wide range of dynamic lighting effects. We hope you find them
innovative.
Due to the
wide variety of modeling scales, LEDs for use with
these products are sold
separately and can be found by clicking on the
Lighting Products link at the left side of this page.
Rotating Beacon Simulators
These module reproduce a highly realistic
simulation of a rotating beacon by sequencing LEDs (sold separately) that are
positioned to produce the effect. See LED Construction in the
More Info tables to the right for complete information. The timing of the
rotational effect closely replicates that of typical rotating beacons used on emergency,
construction, utility
and military vehicles. The N8042A version is configured for white or blue LEDs. The N8042C
is for a red or yellow 4-LED assembly that simulates the "gumball" type
of rotating beacon $12.95
$45.95
Navigation Light Simulators for Aircraft These modules generate various different effects to simulate
navigation and running lights including strobes and beacons.
Details of each $14.95 $15.95 $16.95 $16.95
Machine Gun Simulator This simulator generates a rapid stream of pulses alternating
between 2 connected LEDs whenever the input pin is grounded. The timing and
duration of these pulses mimics the appearance of automatic weapons fire
like that of Star Wars® X-wing fighters. The N8060A version of this module is
configured
for 4 LEDs
alternating between pairs to simulate 4 guns firing. $13.95 $13.95
7 LED Arrow Bar for Emergency Vehicles These modules generate various different effects to simulate
traffic control routing guideance.
N8108-02
is configured for modern
Police vehicles
N8108-03 is configured for 1970's era Police
vehicles N8108-04 is configured for Fire vehicles
N8108-05 is configured for 1970's era Utility vehicles Complete details of each Simulator's effects and instructions for connection are
covered in the More info table to the right. $27.95 $27.95 Custom Lighting Effect Simulators
Do you need a special lighting effect that that
no one produces or have a unique prototype requirement? We may be able to
help. The N8050 will support 1 LED output, the N8051, 2 LED outputs, and the
N8052 will support 3 LED outputs. For an additional programming charge
(quoted separately), we will program the appropriate simulator to create
your effect. Just email or call us with your requirements. We will review
them, determine if they are within the capabilities of our simulator, and if
so, respond with our quotation. Delivery can be within 2 weeks and our quote
will be reasonable. $12.95 $13.95 $14.95
Machine Gun Simulator (WW1) $12.95 The Marslight modules (N8031/A) produce a highly realistic Mars effect which is very eye-catching.
Output intensity varies from dim to full-bright through a triple-pulse timed
to imitate side (reflective) shine as well as frontal shine of the oscillating
Mars pattern. The N8031A version of this module is configured
with an additional output for an optional headlight. See Connecting
in More Info to the right. The N8031B Super-Marslight Simulator
provides output for 3 LEDs to create the visual effect of an actual
moving Marslight. See the video of effects
in More Info above. The N8031C version is for a Marslight with red
LED. The NLD8110-03 version is for a simultaneous
dual-Marslight output on a single low-voltage simulator board.
Dual Roto-Ray Simulator for red LEDs
The N8089 simulates
the effect of
two rotating Roto-Ray warning lights by sequencing
6 LEDs
connected to its outputs
$13.95
Unmarked Emergency Vehicle w/alternating headlights & beacon $21.95
Modern Schoolbus flasher w/stop sign flashers $21.95
High-current Smoke Generator Controller & Timer The N8103B
Smoke Generator Controller/Timer is essentially a very high current
switching circuit combined with one of our N8050 single output Simulators
programmed as a timing circuit. The timer is mounted on the Current Control main board. The heart of the Current control board is a N-Channel
HEXFET Power MOSFET that can act as a power switch to easily control up to
16 Amps of 12-volts DC. Note: Actual power
switched is based on power supply (not included) that is connected to the
N8103B.
Dual Sequential MarsLights w/ Roto-Ray emergency flasher The N8LD110-04/05 simulates two Mars light
simulations with staggered start times for random appearance.
One for a white LED and the other for a red LED. Also included
are outputs for a 3-LED Roto-ray rotating emergency flasher.
The -04 is configured for a modern 360RPM
Roto-ray , and the -05 is configured for
an earlier-era 120RPM Roto-ray flasher. The
NLD
versions are for 3.3-volt operation
