Here's an example of size comparison. In the back, a typical radial lead 50μf 16volt capacitor. In the middle, a typical "high efficiency" 47μf 16volt axial lead unit. In the front, our 100μf 16volt tantalum surface-mount style powerhouse. The added advantage of these is not only their compactness, but their "stackability" due to the typical surface-mount construction shape so widely used in reflow mass-production soldering.
